In 1873 Bishop Hale consecrated the first purpose-built Anglican Church, St James, at South Greenough. The first St Catherine's Church in Greenough was demolished in 1912. The present church, also St Catherine's, was built in 1913. Holy Trinity Church, Wakaway from built in 1903 when the population of the area was in decline and was renovated in 1962.
